Inside The Faerie Tale

There is a land we dream of, lost in space,
In reality it is a far away place,
The entrance is locked and opens with a rhyme,
A little imagination leads to Once Upon A Time….

In a land where dreams are more than a thought,
A place we forget much more than we ought,
Where the glass slipper always fits,
And a story ends with true love's kiss,
With lavish balls and pretty dresses,
With ribbons and pearls and long, curled tresses,

A girl and a boy can dance all night long,
As the swan in her lake sings a sweet love song,
Whimsical mermaids dance under the sea,
And a delicate princess sleeps atop a pea,

A merchant's daughter falls for a beast,
And a damsel sleeps for a hundred years at least,
Until her prince charming climbs the tower wall,
And true, true love conquers all,

But even in this world not all is well,
Not every song is a wedding bell,
We fear the prick of the spinning needle,
And the demon's eyes: black as a beetle,
The Snow Queen waits in her palace of ice,
An innocent girl pays the ultimate price,
A stepmother betrays her only stepdaughter,
And something wicked waits under the water,

So mirror, mirror on the wall,
Where is the goodness in it all?
It's in our smiles and laughs and songs,
In the girl who finds where she belongs,
In our bubbling joy and strange as it seems,
It's in our hopes and in our dreams,
This magical land is filled with laughter,
And in the end is Happily Ever After.
